The human being in symbiosis.
Spectral is a choreographic speculation about the coexistence of humans, rooms, sound waves, adrenaline, home-baked body parts, creepers, makeup, blankets, lamps, tentacles, smells, hair, plastic bags and endless mattress protectors. Living and non-living bodies merge into new expanded organisms that contribute to the overall performance ecosystem; a landscape in slow motion.
Spectral is inspired by mollusks, bears, Nnedi Okarofors sci-fi, The Hunt for the Kidney Stone, Pierre Huyghe, the almond fractal, jungle, landfills, the alien in Annihilation, damp cellars and much more.
