«Performance Fest» by Hot House presents performance art, film, and club – focusing on creating a space for conversation and community. The curatorial concept of the festival is quite simple: Lovely people presenting fun, boundary pushing, challenging, sexy, political art.
Hot House as arranger of this event mainly focus on experimental, time based art forms by womxn and queer artists and performers.
We have invited artists that we feel represents queer perspectives in their art practice, weather it is as persons or in their practice, or a combination of both. Through conversations with the artists and audience we will, amongst other topics, approach the term queer: What does it mean to have a queer art practice?
The festival will mainly take place at Nytorget 17, Stavanger, in the gallery of Studio17. Furthermore, we have invited the exciting club-concept ASTERISK from Bergen to close the festival with a queer club-night at Stavanger Camping! See more info for the ASTERISK X HOT HOUSE CLUB on Facebook.
