Panflutes and Paperwork is a duet with two distinctive performers in their respective art forms, and a game with different ways of connecting music and dance.
In Panflutes and Paperwork, Ingrid Berger Myhre and Lasse Passage unpretentiously examine the relationship between dance and music. Based on scores, they emphasize shared interest for structure and method, rather than talent and virtuosity. The title hints at the contrast between the wet and the dry;
the heartfelt and the structural, the playful and the bureaucratic. The tension between these states plays on the well-known choreographer-composer relationship and its repeated conventions. With tools from both fields, Ingrid and Lasse invent new coincidences that change the rules of the game.
